Look, it happens. We want a nice bronzed glow but don’t want to sit under the harmful rays for hours. So what do we do? We use self-tanner. The problem with self-tanner is that if you don’t properly exfoliate and apply, you end up streaky and that is NOT a good look – for anyone. So while browsing Pinterest, I came across this helpful and very easy tip that will get rid of unwanted streaks. All you need is FRESH LEMON JUICE and BAKING SODA. Mix the two together in a small bowl until it becomes a pasty mixture. Get in the shower and start exfoliating the areas that are very streaky until the unwanted tan disappears.
Baking soda is non abrasive and works as a great exfoliator (it’s also very cheap in grocery stores!) Lemon juice is acidic and acts as a non-harmful version of bleach so it will get rid of unwanted color.
The next time you’re having a tanning disaster, grab some lemon juice, baking soda and start scrubbing!
