Go Summer-Chic With the Little White Dress

We all know the Little Black Dress is a timeless classic. Whether you’re going out to a long-awaited dinner date with the hubby or throwing together a last minute party outfit, you can rest assured that your LBD will be waiting to be worn.

But with summer on the horizon and our beloved LBD heading to hibernate in storage, many of us will be scrambling to find a replacement for our fashionable friend. Luckily for us, the Little White Dress is a hit this season.  Here are five tips on how to make your LWD the star of your next warm weather outing.

1.      Belt It

Sometimes the LWD can be a little too reminiscent of weddings. So, if you don’t want your summer staple to be mistaken for bridal garb, add a belt of your choice. Brown, black, skinny, chunky, colorful – the options are endless.

2.      Add a Hat

Top your LWD off with a summery straw hat. It’ll keep those blinding rays at bay and spice up your flirty frock.

3.      Wear Colorful Wedges

You might have paired your LBD with pumps in colors that popped. But when you don your LWD, slinky heels will be as out of place as a coat and gloves. Instead, try a pair of multicolored wedges: they’ll add touches of color without spoiling your easy, breezy look.

4.      Carry a Tote

Roomy enough to hold your shades, magazine, and water bottle, yet chic enough not to be overwhelming, a classic tote will offer an extra dose of style to your simple getup.

5.      Gloss Your Lips

Shades like coral or red will make you sizzle by providing a fiery contrast to your cool attire.
